March 2021 security update rolling out for Huawei Enjoy 10S smartphone

A new software update is rolling out for the Huawei Enjoy 10S smartphone. This update improves the system security by installing the security patch released in March 2021 co-sponsored by the Android security bulletin.

According to the changelog, this update fixes the different levels of exploits and issues. Additionally, Huawei made efforts into finding the hidden privacy issues and fix them with security patches for improved system security.

In the last update, Huawei brought a new cloud folder added on the main screen to intelligently recommend popular and selected applications for you and introduces a new smart information setting item to bring you a richer display of text messages.

On the other hand, this smartphone is also listed in the EMUI 11 eligible device list but the status is still unconfirmed. This device user will be happier if the company upgrades them over EMUI 11.

  • Huawei Enjoy 10S getting EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.167 upgraded from 10.1.0.166

Changelog:

Security: Integrates the Android security patch released in March 2021.

March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high levels, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

Things to know:

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
    EMUI version and size may vary.
  • Maintain enough battery and storage on your device.

STEPS TO UPDATE YOUR DEVICE:

To manually download this update via mobile Settings– open Settings < click on the System & updates < open Software update < tap on Check for updates option < (if an update is available) click on Download and install < after installation, restart the device.

Alternatively, you can download it via Support App – open Support app on your device < click on the Service tab < click on the update button< tap on Check for update option< (if an update is available) click on Download and install < after installation reboot the device.
