Leak indicates Huawei P70 series may have new ‘P70 Master’ variant

Huawei P70 series is once again in the headlines for how many models it will bring to the table and adding consent to previous revelations, a new input says that the next P-series will bring four models including a P70 Master phone variant.

Weibo tipster @FixedFocus mentions that the Huawei P70 series will be a set of four models, consisting of standard, Pro, Master, and the Art variant. The term “Master” here appears as the fourth model which has been considered as Pro+.

The same leaker reported earlier that Huawei may add an Extraordinary Master (Ultimate Design) model for the P70 series with the naming “Pro Plus”. If true, this could mark the return of the ‘Plus’ handsets in the P-series family.

Although the company has not confirmed any such news yet nor did the tipster mention the ‘Pro Plus’ name in the latest leak. Hence it is unclear if the company will use the same ‘Plus’ tag or pick a new name for the upcoming P-lineup’s mysterious model.

The latest input has generated a heated discussion among netizens and a few of them cited that Master or Ultimate editions are mainly for the Mate and Foldable in the Huawei phones gallery. Meanwhile, the firm uses Art variants for P and flip-flop devices.

Since Huawei has already denied many rumors regarding the flagship P70 smartphones so far, it is better to take this input with a grain of salt for the moment.

Huawei P40 Pro Plus:

The Chinese tech giant brought in the Plus variant with the 9-year-old Huawei P9 models and continued it till the P40 series. Afterward, the company showed the E-tagged models in place of Plus versions for the P-based smartphones.

Huawei Mate 60 series also gained the ‘Plus’ model forming a set of four handsets. We could expect the same strategy for the P70 series as well. Though a confirmation still awaits on this matter.
