At the fourth Galaxy Unpacked event of 2021, Samsung launched Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic alongside new foldable phones. These new pair of new smartwatches come with a new unified wearable software called One UI Watch.

The company has integrated Google’s WearOS and its own Tizen OS to build this new software for its smartwatches. Moreover, these new wearables are powered by Samsung’s latest 5nm-based Exynos W920 chipset.

The Galaxy Watch 4 comes in two different sizes – 44mm (1.4-inch) and 40mm (1.2-inch), both of these variants have Super AMOLED displays, Corning Gorilla Glass with DX+, and full-colored Always On Display.

It is powered by an Exynos W920 Dual-Core 1.18GHz processor and paired with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. the 44mm/46mm version has a battery capacity of 361mAh, while the 40mm/42mm has 247mAh.

The smartwatch runs on WearOS powered by Samsung’s One UI Watch 3. There are connectivity options such as Samsung BioActive Sensor (Optical Heart Rate+ Electric Heart+Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis).

Furthermore, the watch includes an Accelerometer, Barometer, Gyro Sensor, Geomagnetic Sensor, and Light Sensor. The other features of the Watch 4 include 5ATM+IP68 water and dust resistance, LTE, Bluetooth connectivity, NFC, and GPS.

Price and Availability

The Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in Black, Silver, and Pink Gold for the 40mm variant. And the 44mm variant has Black, Silver, and Sophisticated Green color options. Its price starts at 249.99 USD for Bluetooth, while 299.99 for the LTE version.

The Galaxy Watch Classic is the second of the two smartwatches Samsung launched at the event. It shares features similarities with the standard version besides the design.

This Galaxy smartwatch comes in two different sizes – 46mm (1.4-inch) and 42mm (1.2-inch). It features a Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and Full Color Always On Display.

The device is powered by Exynos W920 Dual-Core 1.18GHz (5nm processor). It paired with the same 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage as the Watch 4. The 46mm variant packs a 361mAh battery, while the 42mm version has 247mm.

The Watch 4 Classic runs on WearOS powered by Samsung’s One UI Watch. Furthermore, it has connectivity options such as LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and NFC support.

The watch is rated 5ATM+IP68 for water and dust resistance and is compatible with devices running Android 6.0 or higher with a minimum of 1.5GB of RAM.

Price and Availability

The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is available in Black and Silver color options and the pre-order is already available. This smartwatch starts at 349.99 USD for the Bluetooth version, while you have to pay 399.99 USD for LTE models. It comes in 42mm and 46mm variants.
