January 2024 update for Huawei P40 Pro is expanding

Huawei is expanding the January 2024 security update for the Huawei P40 Pro smartphone in the global market.

Huawei P40 Pro is one of the most decorated smartphones in the Huawei campaign. Launched in 2020, the phone is the first P-series without Google mobile applications and the last to feature 5G connectivity.

The Chinese company is now preparing to launch the Huawei P70 series, which could return 5G for this lineup.

Since its launch, Huawei has been sending new monthly software updates for the Huawei P40 Pro and patching security issues with new solutions.

But the company has not included this device in its EMUI 13 rollout schedule which ended its major software upgrade journey.

Users of Huawei P40 Pro can check for a new software update via Settings, scroll down to the bottom to find System & updates, and then Software update.

Before you download this firmware release make sure that your has sufficient space to house a new OTA update package.
