Huawei is sending a new EMUI version 12.0.0.356 for the Huawei P40 Pro smartphone, as its users have been waiting for a major upgrade over EMUI 13.

This new firmware addresses and installs new security issues in the smartphone with the release of November 2023 EMUI security patches. Therefore, all of the Huawei P40 Pro users should get this firmware as soon as it arrives.

For users, that are wondering about the installation, make sure to turn toward the Settings and move in the software update sections at the very bottom of the menu.

The company may perform this rollout in batches, in that case, we suggest you also check for the new firmware via My Huawei.

Aside from the security patches, the EMUI 12.0.0.356 update doesn’t mention any other features or system optimizations for the Huawei P40 Pro.

However, the EMUI 13 is still a big deal for the Huawei P40 Pro model because its Chinese counterparts are now capable of running HarmonyOS 4, which could be equivalent to the EMUI 14.

For the time being, Huawei has not confirmed any details or a major software release for this P-series smartphone but it would be better if the company could surprise the users with another feature-filled OTA update.
