Huawei is best known for its achievement in the telecom world and stands as the single largest share owner of the telecom equipment market globally, in a reply to recent US government sanctions, Huawei said its competitors in this field are far behind to catch up with the company.

US government underestimating Huawei: Ren Zhengfei

Ren Zhenfei, the founder of Huawei, said in an interview with Chinese state media, that US ban has no impact on Huawei’s 5G roadmap and its rivals cannot catch up with the company for at least two to three years.

Last week, Donald Trump officially signed a trade blacklist, adding restrictions on Huawei that’ll make the company very difficult to do business with American firms, which labeled as an action against threats to the national security.

This action is followed by Google barring Huawei from getting software updates for its Android devices, others tech firms including Intel, Broadcom, Qualcomm, and Xilinx decided to not supply critical software and hardware components to Huawei til further notice.

Later on, the US has made some scale back on its restrictions and now given Huawei a 90 temporary license aimed at minimizing disruption for its customers but dismissed by Ren who said the tech firm was prepared for the US restrictions.
