Huawei’s first foldable phone receiving May 2020 EMUI security update

Huawei Mate X is receiving a new EMUI update that brings it the latest Android security patches released in May 2020 that improves its system security for a better experience.

Huawei Mate X is the first foldable phone released by Huawei, but the phone was exclusive to the Chinese market. However, an improved version – Huawei Mate Xs made debut earlier this year for the global consumers.

This Huawei Mate X launched with EMUI 9.1, upgraded to EMUI 10.0, and now testing EMUI 10.1 in China. Currently, not all users of the Huawei Mate X testing the EMUI 10.1. So the company is sending this latest security patch for the users who decided to stay on EMUI 10.0.

The May 2020 security update brings security patches from Huawei and Google fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.
