EMUI 10.1 beta rolling out for Huawei Mate X and Mate Xs (CN Models)

After a month-long registration for EMUI 10.1 beta in China, the users of two foldable phones – Huawei Mate X and Mate Xs has started to receive the first beta build of this latest EMUI version.

Huawei has started to rollout EMUI 10.1 internal beta for Huawei Mate X and Huawei Mate Xs in China. The recruitment for these two smartphones was started last on April 29, 2020.

Rollout Versions:

EMUI 10.1 for Huawei Mate X comes with EMUI 10.1.0.137, users are required to upgrade on EMUI 10.0.1.123 to download the latest beta.

On the other hand, Huawei Mate Xs users receiving EMUI 10.1.0.102, upgrading from EMUI 10.0.1.136.

Note: This rollout is related to Chinese models and consumers who participated in the beta activity.

Changelogs:

Huawei Mate X EMUI 10.1 first beta:

Always On Display: Adds a three -dimensional (3D) clock style option to Always On Display. Go to Settings> Home screen & wallpaper> Always On Display to try it out.

The rest of the Changelog includes the same features as Huawei Mate Xs.

Huawei Mate Xs EMUI 10.1 first beta:

Multi-Device Control Panel: Allows you to connect to your devices more easily by using the Multi-Device Control Panel, such as when connecting to your audio input or output device during music and video playback. Swipe up from the left or right of the bottom edge when the screen is unlocked to access the Multi-Device Control Panel. Go to Settings> More connections> Multi-Device Collaboration to try it out.

Dark mode: Adds Dark mode support for more third-party apps.

Call answering:

Allows you to pick up voice and video calls on your phone from your Huawei laptop.

File editing:

Allows you to directly read and edit files on your phone from your Huawei laptop, and also share your phone’s network and sync notifications.

Screen sharing:

Enables you to share your current screen for easier communication during video calls. You can also write and draw on the screen as if talking face to face with the other party.

Cross-Device Gallery:

Introduces the Multi-device browsing capability to Gallery, allowing you to view, search, and share your photos and videos on any of your Huawei devices (including phones, tablets, and smart TVs) that are logged in to your HUAWEI ID, on the same home WLAN network, and have Bluetooth turned on.

Privacy: Adds Compliance certification by China CC EAL4 + security certification, the international ISO / IEC 27701 certified privacy

System Performance: Optimizations.
