Huawei is seemingly preparing some new wearables in the background to launch later this year and one of them could be the Watch 5 Series. A new input highlights that the Chinese OEM will shortly show the successor of the Watch 4 series on the table.

According to @FixedFocus, Huawei will soon launch the all-new Watch 5 series. Even though the tipster didn’t mention anything specific about the release timing, the smartwatch might show up on the user platform later this year with Mate 70.

The blogger said that the upcoming wearable will adopt a new and distinct design over the previous-gen models. While the planetary theme has been used for the Watch 4 series, there could be an interesting outlook this time for the successor.

Further inputs reveal that the Watch 5 series wearable will bring a new software system, probably HarmonyOS NEXT. With that, users may experience a new feel not only in terms of appearance but also the internal features and interaction.

In response to the leak, a netizen asked about the cost of the approaching wrist gadget. The tipster said that one can currently refer to the previous-gen models for the pricing. Hence better upgrades could be a thing for the Watch 5 series without a price hike.
