WiFi Alliance has recently published certificates for new Huawei smartwatches with model ARC-AL00, MDS-Al10, and MDS-AL00. The certification authority has revealed ARC-AL00 as Huawei Watch 4 and the latter two models belong to Huawei Watch 4 Pro. The watch codename reflects the word “Arch” and “Medusa” for the standard and Pro variants respectively.

For your information, both of these devices are unreleased and this certification marks the first confirmation of their upcoming launch.

It’s been two years since the launch of the Huawei Watch 3 series and this is the right time to release a new installment. To be mentioned, Huawei Watch 3 series was the first wearable to feature HarmonyOS 2 and native LTE connectivity.

Currently, Huawei has not announced any official details about the Huawei Watch 4 lineup but it may debut alongside the Huawei P60 series later this month. Meanwhile, there are some leaks that could give us some important insights.

A tipster suggests that Huawei Watch 4 series is likely to come with satellite communication to send SMS without a mobile network. It’s a brand-new capability and it will make Huawei with the world’s first smartwatch with satellite SMS.

The next input shows that the smartwatch will use premium Zirconium material for the frame but it may also be more expensive than a regular version. Furthermore, we are expecting better LTE technologies for native calling.

Also, we won’t be surprised if Huawei makes some new changes to the design side. Rest assured, we’ll keep you posted with the official announcement of this upcoming smartwatch.
