Huawei unveils smart glasses, built with Korean company Gentle Monster

During the Huawei P30 Series launch event at the Paris Convention Center, Huawei Consumer Business Group (BG) unveiled a pair of smart glasses. It built with the help of Korean eyewear company Gentle Monster.

It features speakers and two microphones that allow you to accept calls from your phone, interact with a virtual assistant, and listen to music. They also charge wirelessly. There’s IP67 dust/water resistance, a 2,200 mAh battery. However, you won’t find any cameras on Huawei’s smart glasses.

During the announcement, Huawei CEO Hankook Kim said, “How many people want to wear this as we meet our friends or lovers?”

It expected to launch in June/July 2019. Pricing isn’t yet available.
