Huawei has recently introduced the latest version of HarmonyOS to its users. The new operating system has brought a huge packet of interesting and thoughtful features. However, something more interesting than these features could be an all-new under-display camera phone from Huawei.
It’s not the first time when Huawei gets linked with the term under-display. Over the past few months, Huawei has issued several patents to bring on the respective technology to its devices. Even we heard that Huawei Mate 40 Pro could be the model to appear with an under-display camera. Yet, things never came out as reality.
But, it looks like there are possibilities to see this technology soon. While exploring the promotional video of HarmonyOS 3.0, we find the clue-prints of the mentioned in-display mechanism. Consequently, the video represented a new phone with under-display camera automation.
New phone – similar to P50 Pocket?
On having a careful look, we found the device quite similar to the flip-flop model- Huawei P50 Pocket. Notably, the device showcases the fingerprint module at the side edges. Further, the sides of the phone roughly display the white under-lens marks.
The rear lens structure of the device comprises two giant circular frames, which is again similar to the P50 Pocket. Although, there could be chances to see some more new implements and changes on the device, in the nearing future.
Speaking of the front face, the display screen does not feature any punch holes or notch at the head of the gadget. Instead, it shows a true full-screen face with an under-display mini cam lens for selfie purposes.
Things are wandering under the airy fog for the moment. But it will get clear in the time ahead. And who knows, we might see this amazing tech in the Mate 50 series launch event.
No, Huawei has not confirmed any information regarding this smartphone at the moment.
Huawei P50 Pocket
Launched last December, Huawei P50 Pocket is a foldable smartphone that features a 6.9-inch OLED panel. It came with pre-installed HarmonyOS 2.0 for the home ground users and EMUI 12 for the global market. The device sports a triple rear camera consisting of a 40MP primary shooter, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and 32MP wide snapper. Again, the front side captures a 10.7MP lens for clicking selfies.
Huawei Mate X3 sample version begins to rollout, launching soon
A Weibo tipster, Wangzai Knows reveals that the mass-produced sample version of the Huawei Mate X3 foldable phone started to rollout for retailers and smartphone sellers. It’s a good sign of progress and shows that we’ll soon witness the launch of the Huawei Mate X3.
That’s not it, the tipster also suggests that the Huawei Mate X3 will be a design-efficient smartphone. This means it will be thinner and more durable with a new foldable hinge system. To support consumers, Huawei Mate X3 will have a low price as compared to Mate X2.
Since it’s a flagship phone and Huawei is keen on using Qualcomm chipsets, the Mate X3 could use Snapdragon 8+. Still, it will only support 4G network access with an inward folding design.
These are a lot of inputs and the specifications will appear as soon as it reaches the launch date. In the meantime, let’s look into the Huawei Mate X2 and learn more about what we’ve.
Huawei Mate X2:
Huawei Mate X2 comes with a dual-screen design. There is an 8-inch main display with 16.7 million colors, a 90Hz refresh rate, a 180Hz touch sampling rate, and 2480 x 2200 pixels.
Once folded, the phone operates via the exterior screen of 6.45 inches, 90Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling, and 2700 x 1160 pixels resolution.
During the Mate X2 launch, Huawei stocked sufficient Kirin 9000 chipsets. However, the phone is currently ruled out of the online stores and solely going through offline Huawei experience stores.
It is a powerful phone with a quad rear camera system. Including a 50 MP Ultra Vision Camera (Wide Angle, f/1.9 aperture, OIS), 16 MP Cine Camera (Ultra-Wide Angle, f/2.2 aperture), 12 MP Telephoto Camera (3x Optical Zoom, f/2.4 aperture, OIS), and 8 MP SuperZoom Camera (10x Optical Zoom, f/4.4 aperture, OIS), support AF.
Huawei Mate X2 brings a high-resolution front-facing camera of 16 megapixels of f/2.2 aperture. On the other hand, this foldable device packs a 4500mAh battery that could recharge with a 66W super charger.
