Huawei to relaunch Mate 40E Pro 5G smartphone

Last year, Huawei launched the Mate 40E Pro smartphone with 5G connectivity and the company will relaunch this phone but may not retain its Leica branding.

According to the inputs from Weibo tipster, Unlock mountain, the Huawei Mate 40E Pro with model NOH-AN80 will be on sale soon. This smartphone will remove the Leica Camera branding and will be powered by HarmonyOS 3 operating system onboard.

Last October, Huawei certified NOH-AN80 from China’s Telecommunication Equipment’s Network Access Managements (TENAA). Unlike other new flagship devices, the phone comes with 5G capabilities including SA and NSA network support.

The tipster also shared a price tag of the device consisting of the following version.

  • 8+256 white 5399 yuan
  • 8+256 black 5699 yuan
  • 8+512 white 5799 yuan
  • 8+512 black 6099 yuan

The phone equips Kirin 9000L is 5 nanometers processed chipset consisting of six cores including 1 x Cortex-A77 at 3.13GHz + 2 x Cortex-A77 at 2.54GHz + 3 x Cortex-A55 at 2.05GHz. The SOC has a 22-core Mali-G78 GPU. In terms of NPU units, there is a Large-core NPU + micro-core NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit).

This phone features a 6.76-inch display with FHD+ resolution (2772 x 1344 pixels), 16.7 million colors, DCI-P3 wide color gamut, OLED screen type with 90Hz refresh rate as well as 240Hz touch sampling rate. There’s a multi-touch screen panel that supports up to 10 touches.

As a Mate 40 series device, this phone brings high-quality pictures including a 50-megapixel super-sensing camera (wide-angle, f/1.9 aperture) + 20-megapixel movie camera (ultra-wide-angle, f/1.8 aperture) + 12-megapixel telephoto camera (f/3.4 aperture, support OIS optical image stabilization), support autofocus.

On the front side, the phone will get you a 13-megapixel super-sensing camera (wide-angle, f/2.4 aperture) + a 3D depth camera.

Furthermore, the phone supports WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2, PC synchronization, OTG, NFC, a positioning system, and more. It will offer different types of sensors such as – 3D face recognition, light sensor, proximity sensor, infrared, fingerprint, gyro, compass, barometer, gravity, and other sensors.
