Huawei really need to fix P30 Pro camera focus issue

huawei P30 Pro camera issue

Huawei P30 Pro and its camera issue keep on getting wide as users have been tackling it for a long time now and the phone maker really needs to fix this. This is a severe issue and It is appearing on Huawei P30 Pro models damaging their capability to capture photographs.

Also, we are starting a campaign to take this issue to Huawei. Below you can check how to participate in the activity to achieve the goal.

What’s happening:

Once launched, the camera takes you to the wide mode by default and it fails to focus on the viewport. Therefore, everything on the frame is blurred. The fact is, the focus won’t trigger even if you try to do it manually.

Interestingly, a Huawei P30 Pro user demonstrated that the camera is working fine on ultra-wide and other camera modes, except the wide angle.

The wide-angle or the main camera is completely blocked by this hard-to-focus viewport. To be mentioned, the issue persists in all modes in wide-angle including video. The video also shows the issue and its core functionality that has been affected in the process.

OTA could resolve:

Even after a long time, Huawei has not responded regarding this very important and critical bug in P30 Pro. Since many users are facing the same problem, it could be a software bug, rather than a hardware issue. However, we don’t deny a possibility of either.

Sideway Fix:

Although, we don’t have an exact fix but there are some steps that might work out for your Huawei P30 Pro.

  1. Restore camera to default settings
  2. Clear camera app cache
  3. Clear the cache partition
  4. Boot safe mode to test the camera
  5. Factory reset
  6. Reverse back to a past EMUI version

Huawei P30 Pro camera specs:

Huawei P30 Pro features a quad camera system including 40 MP (Wide Angle Lens, f/1.6 aperture, OIS), 20 MP (Ultra Wide Angle Lens, f/2.2 aperture), 8 MP (Telephoto, f/3.4 aperture, OIS), and Huawei Time-of-Flight (TOF) Camera supports autofocus (phase focus, contrast focus) supports AIS (Huawei AI Image Stabilization).

What do we need to do?

We urge all of the Huawei P30 Pro users to take a screenshot of the camera app issue and share it on Twitter by tagging @huaweimobile with a little description of the issue and #HuaweiP30CameraIssue.

Huawei P60 Ultra

Huawei P60 series is up for launch tomorrow and the company has signaled that it needs some time to unveil this flagship for the global markets. Why is this important? Let’s find out.

A week ago, Huawei began the warm-up promotion of the Huawei P60 series and this promo content shows various capabilities of the upcoming flagship. Specifically, which devices are coming when they’ll arrive, and what type of devices these are.

These promos are running wild on China’s micro-blogging site – Weibo. However, an identical promo campaign remained missing on the global social media channels including Twitter.

It indicates that Huawei has separate plans to promote the Huawei P60 series later for the global markets instead of launching its simultaneously alongside China.

The Huawei P60 series is an awesome flagship and many of our readers reached out through Twitter and Facebook to know more about the overseas debut. However, we don’t have any confirmation on this matter.

Before that happens, you need to know that Huawei will have to make some software changes in order to bring the Huawei P60 series to more audience. This includes the EMUI ROM but we can rest assured that it may take only a month or so, to arrive in the retail stores.

We’ll keep you posted on all of the development that will come regarding the broad availability of the Huawei P60 series. We also want to inform you that the new P-series devices will launch on March 23 along with other major labels.

Huawei P60 Series

The Huawei P60 series will launch tomorrow and it will end a long sequence of leaks and rumors. This will also be a moment when all of the consumers will meet the new Huawei premium device.

The launch tomorrow will also raise the curtain from all of the technologies that we’re waiting for in the Huawei P60 series. These include a new camera system, variable aperture, XMAGE imaging technologies, second-generation satellite communication, and more.

P series is known for its capabilities in the mobile camera industry and the Huawei P60 series will add a new milestone to this legacy.

A few days ago, Huawei revealed the complete rear camera design of this flagship. It shows the phone with a new rectangular camera system and includes a brand-new lens combination.

The middle camera is eye-catching and provides a new look to the entire camera module. With a closer look, you will find it resembles both Huawei P40 Pro and P50 Pro in the same design.

However, there’s another addition in the aesthetics, which leads us to the “XMAGE” camera branding. The XMAGE is a brand-new imaging technology self-developed by Huawei for its smartphones.

The launch of this new imaging tech led to the outcasting of Leica, a long partner in camera research and development.

Other than that, the Huawei P60 series will bring better than ever periscope camera zoom. Past camera samples show that the company has fed new camera tech in this new smartphone to make the zoom clear and brighter.

We’ve also seen that Huawei will bring back its secret recipe for bright images. Yes, it’s the RYYB color array, first used in Huawei P30 Pro. Therefore, the use of such an improved color array in the periscope camera will lead to more light.

The design will also be an interesting aspect of the flagship and there are new colors waiting to unveil on the stage. Furthermore, there could be three models – P60, P60 Pro, and P60 Art.

We’re already seen the P60 Pro in a leak but the P60 Art could have some hidden moves into its sleeves. Huawei P60 series also has new battery technology, which will enhance the overall power usage and power capacity. Don’t forget that Huawei may also bring in a new charger onboard.

These are just a few key exciting features of the Huawei P60 series and there could be more waiting for us when these will launch tomorrow.
