Huawei quietly launches Nova Y62 series with 5000mAh battery, 50MP camera, and more

Huawei has silently unveiled the Nova Y62 series with a jumbo battery and a triple camera setup in South Africa. The company has launched this new mid-range smartphone lineup with interesting features and characteristics.

Huawei Nova Y62 series brings two variants: Standard and Plus. Both these models bear similar specifications to some extent. Although one may find differences between the key specs such as RAM and overall pricing tags.

As per the details, Huawei Nova Y62 and Y62 Plus equip a 6.52-inch LCD screen which is capable of delivering a 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It further holds a 20:9 aspect ratio and offers an impressive visual experience.

Camera:

Both the Standard and the Plus models adopt a 50MP main camera along with a couple of 2MP lenses for depth and macro capturing. Meanwhile, the front side bears a 5MP camera, placed at the center of the display for selfie purposes.

Internal Configurations:

The processor runs on a 2.2GHz frequency although remains a mystery. Apart from the chip, the Huawei Nova Y62 series brings 128GB storage and an additional microSD card slot for extra space. Notably, the standard version runs on 4GB RAM whereas, the Plus version has 8GB RAM.

Aside from the camera and other key specs, the Huawei Nova Y62 series includes a 5000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. The list of features also counts EMUI 12 (Android 12) with HMS facilities. However, you won’t be able to surf Google services in these handsets.

At the same time, the Huawei Nova Y62 series supports dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and a USB-C port. You can use the side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking methods.

Price and Availability
