Huawei has recently released the August 2022 update in China for the Mate 40 series. Now, the flagship-grade smartphone Huawei Mate 40E is collecting the August 2022 HarmonyOS update with the same version.

The Huawei Mate 40E handset has the same design and looks as the Mate 40 series smartphones. Moreover, the specifications of the phone are also similar to the Mate 40 series. But, it only differs in terms of processors.

Suitable Model:

  • Huawei Mate 40E (OCE-AN50)
  • Huawei Mate 40E 4G (OCE-AL50)

By exploring the changelog, we find that this firmware increases the security of the device. It integrates the improvement patches to the system released in the month of August this year.

On the other side, the changelog doesn’t have much to show us. It only resolves the vulnerabilities present in the previous software version

As per the information, the August 2022 update in Huawei Mate 40E smartphone brings the new HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.273, which is a follow-up to version 2.0.0.268.

Update Steps:

Via Settings:

Go to Settings on your respective smartphones, then click on System & updates followed by Software updates. Afterward, click on CHECK FOR UPDATES and let the phone fetch the latest update for you. Once the update pop-ups, download and install it.

Via My Huawei app:

Open the My Huawei app, visit the update section and follow on-screen instructions. After completion of the update, your phone will reboot automatically.

Do not forget to save your important data, as it will prevent the unwanted deletion of your files. Furthermore, if you choose the My Huawei app to download the update then first upgrade the app to the latest version.
