Huawei Pura 70 series Apple

Pura 70 series launch is good news for both Huawei and its consumers but it could appear as a big challenge for Apple in China. While the flagship lineup will help the Chinese tech giant retain its position in the market, it might hit Apple with sales loss!

TechInsights has shared a detailed report regarding how the Huawei Pura 70 series could be a huge threat to Apple in China. Analysts say that the new smartphone lineup is likely to have a shipment of 10.4 million units this year, far ahead of than P60.

If true, this would be the biggest value in terms of shipment for the firm. Huawei shipped only 1.8 million units of the P60 series last year whereas, the high-end Mate 60 smartphones have crossed 6.2 million units in the home ground.

Huge Demand:

Although a good number of shipments by Huawei this year can ultimately bang Apple to more decrement in the world’s largest smartphone market. Pura 70 series seems to be a tough competitor for Apple’s iPhone 15 and 16 series this time, says one of the senior analysts at the TechInsights firm – Linda Sui.

This is so because the Pura 70 series (Ultra and Pro) ran out of stock less than a minute after it went on sale on April 18. The scenario hints that customers not only love Huawei’s products but also support them as the best device in the market.

Many consumers have appeared in queues and clusters outside Huawei’s flagship stores, waiting for their turn to grab the Pura handsets. Apple on the other hand, has already faced a double-digit decline in the first quarter this year and doesn’t seem to have a good plan to turn up the sales game.

Analysts’ View

The senior research manager for client devices at IDC Asia-Pacific – Will Wong said:

“The Pura 70 series has seen good initial demand, which was not a surprise given Huawei’s premium brand name and the marketing effect it created with the blind pre-orders. There’s a good chance, especially since Huawei has a more well-rounded 5G product portfolio now, ranging from the flagship series to Nova.”

Despite several challenges, Huawei has now introduced a new 5G chip – Kirin 9010 with optimized performance than its predecessors. The firm may ship around 50 million smartphone units in 2024, increasing its market share by 19 percent directly from 12 last year.

Thus it looks like the Chinese tech giant will continue to be a tough contender for its rival in the native region.
