Design

Huawei Pocket 2 arrives in two versions: Glass and Plain Leather. The former has an expanded state of 7.25mm and a folded state of 15.3mm. Whereas, the latter bears an expanded state of 7.35mm and a folded state of 15.5mm.

The foldable phone comes in four bashing colors – Tahitian Grey, Rococo White, Taro Purple, and Elegant Black. It features two giant circular modules on the back panel for the optical structure and a proficient external screen.

Display

The device sports an inner screen of 6.94 inches (2690 x 1136 pixels) and an external screen of 1.15-inch (340 x 340 pixels) OLED panel. It further supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.07 billion colors, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, 300 Hz touch sampling rate, and P3-wide color gamut.

Camera

For the first time, Huawei has imposed a quad-camera framework to the vertical folding phone. This structure consists of a 50MP main shooter (f/1.6 aperture), a 12MP ultra-wide angle (f/2.2 aperture) snapper, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP hyperspectral camera with f/2.0 aperture).

The rear side equips the XD Fusion Pro portrait engine that recognizes your facial expressions and restores the pixels of your skin to its best condition.

Consequently, the telephoto sensor supports 3x optical zoom with focal lengths of 13mm, 23mm, and 80mm alongside 30x digital zoom. At the front side, the foldable equips a 10.7 ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture with various camera modes.

Huawei Pocket 2 packs a 4520mAh battery with 66W superfast wired charging support. The device is capable of wireless charging with 40W capacity and reverse charging of 7.5W. It has obtained an IPX8 rating and can bear a 2-meter water depth.

Even though the company has not mentioned it, a few bloggers revealed that the Huawei Pocket 2 foldable equips the Kirin 9000s chipset with Maleoon 910GPU. Also, it pre-installs HarmonyOS 4.0 and is paired with 12GB RAM along with three storage options: 256GB/ 512GB/ 1TB.

For connectivity, the device has 2.4GHz and 5GHz WLAN, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, 2 × 2 MIMO, HE160, 1024 QAM, 8 Spatial-stream Sounding MU-MIMO, and Bluetooth 5.2. It uses USB Type-C and USB 2.0, NFC capability, and supports GPS (L1 + L5 dual frequency)/AGPS/GLONASS/Beidou (B1I + B1C + B2a + B2b four frequency)/GALILEO (E1 + E5a + E5b three frequency)/QZSS (L1 + L5 dual frequency)/NavIC.
