Huawei Pocket 2 foldable enters first sale

Today, Huawei has officially opened the first sale of the newly launched foldable – Pocket 2. The company has unveiled the clamshell phone last week and amazed consumers with its appealing design aesthetics and iconic camera capabilities.

At the same time, Huawei introduced the Pocket 2 Art model, designed with 3D dynamic space technology. The respective phone reflects a three-dimensional butterfly wings structure at the rear panel, featuring a stylish outlook.

Both Huawei Pocket 2 standard and Art versions have now entered the first sale and interested users can step into Huawei Mall of the online JD.com shopping channel to purchase the foldable smartphone. Here are the pricing details:

Standard Huawei Pocket 2

• 12GB + 256GB version = 7499 yuan
• 12GB + 512GB version = 7999 yuan
• 12GB + 1TB version = 8999 yuan

Huawei Pocket 2 Art

• 16GB + 1TB version = 10,999 yuan

Huawei Care + one-year term

• Low-cost screen protection facility for both inner and outer displays each at 699 yuan

It is worth mentioning that the first 500 customers participating in the Pocket 2 first sale will get a free Huawei gallium nitride Max 66W ultra-thin charger.

Huawei Pocket 2: Specifications

The latest flip-flop model consists of a 6.94-inch main display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 2690 x 1136 pixels resolution. Besides, the cover screen measures 1.15 inches with a 340 x 340 pixels resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate,  and 296 PPI.

Huawei didn’t announce the processor details for the new foldable. Yet, some Weibo bloggers confirmed that the device equips a Kirin 9000s chip alongside the Maleoon 910 GPU. It also pre-installs HarmonyOS 4.0 and brings amazing features.

Speaking of battery life, the device packs a 4520mAh cell with a 66W superfast wired charging facility. It also supports 40W wireless and 7.5W reserve charging. Pocket 2 has qualified for the IPX8 rating and can tolerate 2-meter water depth.

The folding phone features a quad-camera setup with a 50MP primary shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, an 8MP telephoto sensor, and an iconic hyperspectral snapper. Meanwhile, the front side holds a 10.7MP selfie lens with various camera modes.

Pocket 2 Art:

With the same capabilities, the Art variant only varies in appearance and is an exclusive gift box. It also includes second-gen Kunlun Glass tech for efficient drop resistance. Other key features count two-way satellite messaging, a UV sunscreen test, and a 3D heat dissipation system.
