A few days ago, it was reported that Huawei will no longer launch the 12GB version of the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design, as this device will only be produced in an 8GB RAM version.

And, something similar seems to be cooking for the upcoming P50 lineup. According to a Weibo digital blogger, the Huawei P50 series may not feature a 12GB RAM version for at least the start and will be promoted with 8GB of RAM. This could be a piece of very disappointing news for smartphone users with big RAM.

In 2019, Huawei was included in the U.S. entity list, which prohibits the Chinese company from doing business with memory makers such as Samsung and SK Hynix and leads to the shortage of required components such as RAM and storage.

Currently, Huawei has not decided on any launch date for the Huawei P50 series but reports reveal that this device could unveil later this month. Furthermore, due to the shortage of chip supplies, the phone maker likely to launch the 4G variant of the P50 among consumers.

However, a report reveals that this phone will come with a new custom resolution display that is 1224 x 2696 pixels, and a screen body ratio close to 20:9. Furthermore, the phone equips 5G network capabilities.
