Huawei P40 Lite E December 2021 update

Huawei has released December 2021 EMUI security update for Huawei P40 Lite E smartphone users in the global market. This latest EMUI update enhances system security and protects the smartphone against threats.

As reported by Huaweiailesi, Huawei P40 Lite E December 2021 update arrives with an upgraded EMUI version 10.1.0.224 (C432E2R1P1). To be mentioned, this update comes with an installation package size of 173MB.

With the December 2021 security patch, a total of 84 CVEs were fixed among them  2 critical, 15 high, and 38 CVEs were resolved in the system. While 29 CVEs were fixed in the third-party libraries.

Speaking about Huawei P40 Lite E, this smartphone was launched in 2020 and factory packed with EMUI 9.0 software system based on Android 9. Now, it is running on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 and performing well in the user’s hands.

On the other hand, Huawei P40 Lite E users are hoping to get hands-on latest EMUI 12 major software system. But, the phone has not been confirmed for the upcoming EMUI 12 beta testing as it begins for other smartphones in the global market.

How to update:

So, users, there are two ways to update your smartphone over the latest EMUI version. The ways are:

  • Phone Settings
  • My Huawei App

Through Settings:

First, go to the phone’s Settings, then tap on system & updates and click on software updates. Afterward, tap on the check for updates option. If an update is available, tap on the download option. Once the update package installation is done, install the update.

Through My Huawei App:

Open the My Huawei app, go to the update section, and tap on check for updates. If an update is available, a download option appeared on the screen. Tap on download options and wait for the update package to download. At last, install the latest update on the device.
