Huawei P20 and P20 Pro on EMUI 9.1 gets December security update, EMUI 10 to come next

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are some of the versatile smartphones made by the Chinese tech giant and recently started receiving the stable EMUI 10 upgrade in China.

However, the stable update is yet to reach outside of the Chinese region and so Huawei has now arranged a new update for models running EMUI 9.1, which installs a new security patch.

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro receiving EMUI version 9.1.0.371 and installs December 2019 security update with fixes to 3 critical, 24 high and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) found in the recent build.

Note: EMUI version and size may vary depending on the region/country.

How to update:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

Or by going to HiCare > Update > Check for updates.

EMUI 10:

Apart from China, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro in different countries are already testing the EMUI 10 beta and the company expected to begin the global rollout of stable EMUI 10 by late January or February.
