Huawei has announced and confirmed the EMUI 10 rollout plan for Huawei P20 and P20 Pro phones but since the rollout is yet to be started, these smartphones are being improved with a new update that brings January security enhancements.

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro receiving January 2020 security patch, providing fixes to 2 critical and 16 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) found in the recent build.

To be mentioned, a few days ago, the Chinese variant running EMUI 10 received the January security patch.

Versions:

Huawei P20 Pro receiving the January security patch with EMUI 9.1.0.365 and the update is also rolling out for P20 but the version may be different.

However, this update may not reach to users in Europe and Asia because they could get a stable EMUI 10 by this month.

Note: EMUI version and size may vary in different countries and regions.

EMUI 10:

Huawei P20 and P20 Pro in China already start receiving stable EMUI 10 and we can expect these phones to receive the latest version of EMUI starting later this month in India.

How to check for update:

Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.

Or open HiCare app > Update > Check for updates.
