So, guys, it’s finally started, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro begin to register for the HarmonyOS 2 closed beta in China. These phone users are now able to enroll for the beta activity and will soon receive the beta builds.

If we look at the HarmonyOS 2 roadmap, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro devices are scheduled to receive HarmonyOS 2 in the first half of 2022. Yet, Huawei has sped up the testing process and skipped over half of the year to deliver this new operating system.

Although, Huawei has not reached the global models but smartphone users are waiting for their terms to install the HarmonyOS OTA update.

Old device, new OS, New user experience:

Launched in 2018, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro are the smartphones to feature new AI-powered photography features. Also, the P20 Pro is the first smartphone in the world to come with a triple camera system.

On the software side, Huawei P20 and P20 Pro come with EMUI 8.1 and after a number of major upgrades, the software version reached EMUI 10 (Android 10).

Changing the entire software of this previous Huawei flagship will provide a whole new experience to the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro consumers.

The HarmonyOS 2 beta is now preparing to rollout for the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro, and once the company sets the closed beta testers, it’ll begin to push the build through the OTA update.
