Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the Huawei Nova 9 SE smartphone with an October 2023 security patch. This new rollout appeared subsequently after the installation of EMUI 13 on this smartphone in the global market.

EMUI 13 comes with a variety of new additions to the system including smart folders as well as animations improvements. Therefore, all of the Huawei Nova 9 SE smartphone users grab the new EMUI 13 as soon as it arrives onboard.

Meanwhile, users who have already installed EMUI 13 can identify the October 2023 security patch update with EMUI version 13.0.0.258 for their Nova 9 SE smartphone.

Speaking of which, you will have to download 341 megabytes of the OTA package size. You should know that this update comes in batches and won’t delete your phone’s data.

Aside from the security patch, there are no major changes made in the system with this new release. Huawei Nova 9 SE users can download the October 2023 update with the following instructions:

  • Open Settings
  • Visit the System & updates
  • Tap on Software update
  • Then tap on the CHECK FOR UPDATES

This will request new firmware from the Huawei server and return with a response. If the pone doesn’t show a new firmware, then do check after some time or days.
