Huawei Nova 7i began jumping on March 2021 security update, while users continues to ask for EMUI 11

Recently, Huawei has rollout the February 2021 security patch for Nova 7i smartphone users, which fixes different levels of exploits and issues including 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs.

For further improvements, Huawei now starts delivering another software update for the Nova 7i device. This update mainly installs the security patch released in March 2021 for improved system security.

Aside from this, Huawei is working hard to shift its devices over HarmonyOS as soon as possible. In the meantime, the company trying to conclude the EMUI 11 major update rollout.

In this line, Huawei has not confirmed any official information on EMUI 11 eligibility of the Nova 7i smartphone. But the tipster who has sent March 2021 update information to us, also contacted Huawei’s verified Facebook page regarding EMUI 11 update and HarmonyOS.

On this, Huawei mobile replied that at the moment EMUI 11 is not available for Nova 7i and P40 Lite. Additionally, they asked to send the screenshot of the latest version of your device working with for the HarmonyOS update concern.

New EMUI version:

Huawei Nova 7i smartphone users in the Middle East region started grabbing EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.314 (C185E4R6P1) and an update size of 180MB.

March 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical, 13 high levels, and 132 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

You can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
