Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro getting third EMUI 11 beta with October security update

Huawei has started sending a new EMUI 11 beta update for the Nova 7 series. This update installs the security patch released in October 2020, a new editing feature to the gallery, and optimization for system stability.

The previous update of the Nova 7 series offers improvements for always-on-display, connectivity, multi-window mode, optimization for system stability, and more.

On the other hand, Huawei has started EMUI 11/Magic UI 4 beta recruitment for 8 new Huawei and Honor smartphones.

  • Huawei Nova 7 Pro 5G

EMUI VERSION:

The third EMUI 11 beta for the Huawei Nova 7 series comes with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.130 upgrading from EMUI 11.0.0.125.

CHANGELOG:

Gallery: Optimizes the video editing features in the Gallery app and supports the creation of short, personalized videos.

System: Optimizes system stability of some situations

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in October 2020 for improved system security.

October 2020 Security Patch Details:

October 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 21 high levels and 1 medium level of CVEs.

Note:

  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
  • The update will not erase any data
