Huawei Nova 6 SE users receiving November 2020 security patch

A new software update is rolling out for Huawei Nova 6 SE users. This update mainly brings the security patch released in November 2020 that fixes 3 critical and 15 high levels of CVE’s to improve the system security.

Aside from this, Huawei is expanding the EMUI 11 beta testing program for more of its devices in more regions and closed the beta testing for Nova 6 series by sending the EMUI 11 stable version in China.

However, Huawei Nova 6 SE device is eligible for EMUI 11 beta testing but, the company didn’t reveal any information regarding this matter. Users are still waiting to test the new EMUI 11 features.

Version: Huawei Nova 6 SE users getting EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.227 updated from 10.1.0.226.

HOW TO CHECK NOVA 6 SE:

To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop-up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.

Alternatively, you can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.

  • Currently, this update is rolling out in China.
  • Version and size may vary depending on the country/region.
  • The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
