Huawei Nova 13 series might equip new Kirin 9010 chipset

Huawei Nova 13 series is likely to come in June this year, ahead of that a new leak suggests that this lineup could feature the same Kirin 9010, used in the high-end Pura 70 models. Thus we can expect boastful performance with the next Nova phones.

Pura 70 series has just made its debut on the consumer platform with a brand-new processor – Kirin 9010. The latest chip offers optimized and better performance than its predecessors. It stands on a powerful 12-core architecture to boost efficiency.

And looks like the company might continue to impose this chipset on more of its flagship models. Tipster @SmartPikachu mentions that the Huawei Nova 13 series smartphones could also use the Kirin 9010 processor for ultimate functioning.

Kirin 9010 is a modified version of the Kirin 9000s with overclocked cores. It is paired with Huawei’s self-developed graphics processing unit – Maleoon 910.

Further details reveal that Nova 13 lineup may pre-install a new version of HarmonyOS. Note that Huawei said to launch the HarmonyOS NEXT beta in June. Hence we could find the respective software with the new Nova phones.

Other features could include improved variable aperture technology, a better periscope camera, and satellite connectivity features. The trend might be similar to the Nova 12 models, where the company used satellite calling capability for the high-end models while keeping the satellite text facility for entry-level handsets.

Huawei is using advanced camera solutions for its upcoming phones and a good example of this scenario is the Pura 70 series. Consumers might see this continuation with the Nova 13 models in the form of an effective periscope camera sensor.
