Huawei is boosting the Mate Xs foldable smartphone’s system security by installing April 2022 security patch. However, the latest update is released for Mate Xs smartphone running on HarmonyOS 2.0 software system in China.

As per the information, Huawei Mate Xs April 2022 update comes with HarmonyOS build number 2.0.0.236 updated from 2.0.0.230. The new changelog reveals that this update doesn’t contain any other changes besides the security improvements.

With April 2022 HarmonyOS security patch, Huawei fixes 49 common vulnerabilities and exposures encountered in framework, kernel, system, applications, and third-party libraries.

Update Instructions:

Simply, go to the settings menu, tap on system & updates and then click on software updates. From here, tap on the CHECK FOR UPDATES option and wait for the phone to fetch the update for you. Once the update is found, tap on the download and install option.

Precautions:

Make sure that your phone should be charged 30% or above and have a sufficient amount of storage. Don’t forget to take a backup of your personal data to prevent data loss in any situation as well as use a WiFi connection for a fast and buffer-free process.
