Wow! Huawei has officially confirmed its next-foldable smartphone – Huawei Mate Xs 2 is set to launch on April 28, 2022. As per the information, Huawei is hosting a separate launch event to welcome its fifth foldable smartphone along with a bunch of new products.

To keep consumers anticipated, Huawei has released the official teaser that confirms the outward foldable and shows a unique hinge for smoother opening and closing, In this regard, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei CBG said that the upcoming Huawei Mate Xs 2 will surpass everyone’s imagination of the folding phones.

In the recent past, a Huawei 4G phone with model number PAL-AL00 obtained MIIT certification. The listing reveals that the PAL-AL00 smartphone will be powered by Kirin 9000 4G chipset and comes factory packed with HarmonyOS operating system. Now, it seems this phone could be the Mate Xs 2. However, the specification of the forthcoming phone is not known at the moment.

Now, we are not far from the official unveiling and become witnesses to the next-generation Mate Xs 2 foldable phone. In February 2020, Huawei debuted Mate Xs first generation with a 6.6-inch main display and a 6.38-inch display to serve as an 8-inch display. Huawei Mate Xs smartphone comes 8.00-inch touchscreen primary display offering a resolution of 2200×2480 pixels. It also features a 6.60-inch as its second display, with a resolution of 1148×2480 pixels.

Further, the phone has a 6.38-inch touchscreen as its third display, with a resolution of 892×2480 pixels. Huawei Mate Xs is powered by a 2.86GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 990 processor.

Speaking about the camera system, on the rear side, it has 40 MP (Wide Angle Lens, f/1.8 aperture) + 16 MP (Ultra Wide Angle Lens, f/2.2 aperture) + 8 MP (Telephoto, f/2.4 aperture, OIS), Huawei Time-of-Flight (TOF) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. While there is also a camera on the front for selfies.
