Huawei Mate X5 foldable gets ‘Best of MWC 2024’ award
Huawei showcased a bunch of its premium products at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2024 event and the Mate X5 foldable has won the “Best of the MWC 2024” award for its trendy design, tech-pack capabilities, and amazing popularity.
The Chinese tech giant announced the Huawei Mate X5 victory for the ‘Best of the MWC 2024’ award on its official Weibo page. The company cited that the respective foldable has been honored by the authoritative media reward for its excellence.
Notably, the Mate X5 folding phone won this award for its high demand in both Chinese and global markets. The device offers amazing features, super dynamic camera functions, and a unique style that sets it apart from other folding gadgets.
Moreover, it has excelled in durability aspects and assures increased scratch resistance by 300% and drop resistance by 100% – thanks to the Kunlun Glass. The device even made Huawei achieve 51.23% shares in the Chinese foldable market.
Apart from the Mate X5, Huawei also exhibited the Mate 60 handset, FreeClip earbuds, Watch GT 4, and a few other smart products that have attracted many participants.

The iconic foldable equips a 7.85-inch main screen and a 6.4-inch cover OLED panel. These screens support a 120Hz refresh rate, a 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate for an impressive visual experience.
Ahead, the device opts for a 2496 x 2224 pixels resolution and 426PPI. The external display uses a 3D quad-curved OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and up to 300hz touch sampling rate.
Concerned with the camera, the foldable sports a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra wide-angle shooter, as well as a 12MP periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom capabilities.
