Huawei Mate 60 Series matches Mate 40 and surpassed Mate 50 Series sales figure

Huawei Mate 60 series making a new sales record in the home ground and there are some new shipment details on this flagship device surpassing Mate 50 and leveling up with Mate 40 series.

Within the eighth week of launch, the Huawei Mate 60 series recorded 2.4 million units in domestic sales volume, reveals market researcher Counterpoint Research.

Meanwhile, data from Canalys shows that the total sales figure of the Huawei Mate 60 lineup by November 7 hiked up to 2.5 million units. Among these, Huawei Mate 60 Pro covers about 60 percent of the overall sales volume. Multiple research notes that Huawei’s 5G smartphone business is doing good in terms of sales.

Commenting on this matter, Ivan Lam, Senior Analyst at Counterpoint Research said that the Huawei Mate 60 series is growing the popularity among Chinese customers. However, there’s an issue in the supply chain and production that is affecting its sales to an extent.

Surpassing Past Flagships:

The eight-week sales volume of the Huawei Mate 60 series has exceeded the four-month sales of the Huawei Mate 50 series launched last year. During that timeline, Huawei Mate 50 series 4G sales rose over 1.8 million.

In 2021, Huawei took a break from the Huawei Mate series. The last 5G Mate series phone – Mate 40 series unveiled in October 2020, a year after, the US blacklisted Huawei.

This Mate series smartphone sold over 2.6 million units in China within four months of release. While, Its predecessor, the Mate 30 series sold 7.5 million throughout its lifetime.

These sales numbers are truly amazing and show the resuming momentum of Huawei smartphones doing sold-out sales. And Huawei Mate 60 series has become a leader in this resurgence in Huawei’s mobile business.

Related to this, Counterpoint Research forecast that the Huawei Mate 60 series could reach up to 4 million units over a four-month span since its unveiling. This will be accounted for by the end of this year.
