Huawei Mate 60 Pro comes with the industry-leading build quality. The phone features the second generation of Kunlun glass, which is more durable and fall-resistant than the previous flagship. The Mate 60 Pro is also composed of a new three-layer design with an IP68 rating. Recently, the durability of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro was tested in unusual scenarios including being crushed by a car, bus, road roller, or even being shot by a gun.

This severe test was published by a Chinese YouTuber. He purchased two fresh units of the Huawei Mate 60 Pro and tried replicating different scenarios.

Notes for readers: The actions in the video are performed with utmost security and safety, we don’t recommend you try them by yourself if you are not a professional.

Car:

Looking at the very first segment, the Mate 60 Pro was patched on a pathway and an AITO M7 SUV (weighs over 2300 kg) drove over it.

In the aftermath, the phone remained untouched by any scratch from the front or the back. Also, it was functional even after being run down by an SUV.

Bus:

The next test includes a 50-seater passenger bus, which weighs 16 tons (16000kg). Once again, the Huawei Mate 60 Pro was placed on the pathway and ran down by the bus. Surprisingly, the Huawei flagship once again showed no sign of external damage. However, it became unresponsive, and the screen blacked out.

Road Roller:

The third test in the row is quite devasting and this time, the Mate 60 Pro picked a direct fight against a road roller weighing 22 tons (22000KG). After surviving these tests, Mate 60 Pro finally met a tough competitor and got crushed.

Still, some things may amaze you because the phone’s display (scattered) and rear panel remain connected to the frame. Meanwhile, the camera received major damage. As compared to the camera bump, the back side of the phone only minor damage.

Gun:

Time to go for the fourth and final test. It was against a Beretta Type 97 semi-automatic pistol with .22 caliber bullets. The first shot on the phone’s bottom busted the battery’s lithium. The second shot in the middle of the phone absorbed the bullet near the display. The third shot also digs a hole in the phone.
