Last month Huawei filed trademarks for Cine lens and Matrix camera, as recently the company again filed some trademark for new technologies that could be used on Huawei Mate 30 flagship.

Would you like to see 40MP + 40MP cameras on Huawei Mate 30 Pro?

On July 29, Huawei has filed two new trademark application at EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) and UK IPO (Intellectual Property Office) for the names ‘Huawei AIR Glass’ and ‘SuperSensing, spotted by LetsGoDigital.

Huawei AIR Glass application filed under the category of ‘Covers for smartphone, cases for smartphone, protective glass, and more. As it seems to be a replacement for Corning Gorilla Glass for Huawei’s upcoming phones possibly for Mate 30 lineup.

And the SuperSensing tech was first introduced on Huawei P30 and P30 Pro’s 40 MP main camera, which also includes the RYYB color matrix instead of RGGB.

According to the previous information, Huawei Mate 30 series will not adopt the periscope camera structure that’s currently installed in P30 Pro flagship. Instead, the company will save the space to fit two ‘main camera’ with double-size customized Sony IMX sensors.

These sensors include a semi-custom 1/1.7-inch IMX600 series sensor with more than 40MP and the other one is also an IMX600 series lens jointly developed by Huawei and Sony but its megapixels capacity is unknown, as its size expected to be around 1/1.5-inch.

Although we have yet to receive an official confirmation on Mate 30 series launching but these trademarks for Huawei AIR Glass and new SuperSensing tech seem more than just regular camera technology and perfectly eligible for the Mate series flagship.
