Quick navigation gesture update now rolling out for Huawei Mate 30 5G and 30 Pro 5G

Huawei is continuously improving the current top flagship – Huawei Mate 30 series with numerous EMUI updates. A week ago the company also started new features beta recruitment for this smartphone series followed by a new patch.

This week, the Huawei Mate 30 (4G) and Mate 30 Pro (4G) received a new software upgrade with navigation gesture to quickly switch between recent tasks and also fixes some issues.

And now the 5G variants of Huawei Mate 30 and 30 Pro are receiving the same feature through a different update package and EMUI version 10.0.0.203 including the size of 611MB.

The update adds a navigation gesture to quickly switch between recent tasks and also fixes an issue where some apps would unexpectedly quite in certain situations.

Gesture Navigation:

Gesture support for switching between apps. Swipe across the bottom edge of the screen or in an arc across the bottom to switch between apps. To learn more about this gesture, go to Settings > System and updates > System navigation > Gestures > Settings > Switch between apps.

How to update:

Via Settings:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click on ‘System & updates
  3. Click on ‘Software update
  4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES
  5. Click on ‘Download and install

Via HiCare:

  1. Open HiCare app
  2. Click on ‘Services’ tab
  3. Click on ‘Update
  4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES
  5. Click on ‘Download and install
