Huawei Kirin maker’s market share declines, while Kirin 9000 runs out of stock

Huawei HiSilicon and Kirin 9000 are one of the best processors among different kinds of SoCs. So far, these chipsets provide the best performance and efficient functioning of the device. But seems like, the market value for the respective chipsets isn’t going in the same way as they were before.

That says the report of CINNO Research which showcases the China smartphone SoC shipments in the first half of 2022. Alternatively, the share market for the processors has gone down to 16.9 percent this year, with a sale of 134 million units.

According to this report, the Chinese tech giant has attained a huge decline in the market share of Huawei HiSilicon and Kirin 9000 processors. Going with the status, HiSilicon received a decrement of 81.5 percent on the yearly basis, which is the largest year-on-year decline.

In comparison to the previous year, the shipment of Huawei HiSilicon has fallen from 21.4 million to just 4 million units. On the other hand, the Kirin 9000 chipsets are no longer available for an unlimited period. Although the company hasn’t emitted any word on this subject till now, we are waiting to see the return of the king of Huawei processors.

MediaTek and Qualcomm are still at the top!

In this outcome, MediaTek and Qualcomm again managed to remain in the top two positions. As per the information, MediaTek gained 42.1 percent of its share market profit with 56.6 million shipments. Following the lead, Qualcomm scored about 35.3 percent of success with the shipment of 47.4 million units.

Thereafter comes Apple with a 16.3 percent increase, ranking at the third position. Despite several challenges, Huawei HiSilicon possibly made its place in the top five smartphone SoC vendors ranking. Yet, we cannot forget that among the top five brands, HiSilicon is the one to obtain share decline.

This time, the SoC market has been affected in overall aspects. But, Huawei has to make some powerful strategies to step back in the market with the same superiority and magic in its processor. Since there are already several competitors waiting outside the door.
