Huawei HarmonyOS 6 crosses 55 million devices
Huawei has announced that the HarmonyOS 6 operating system has crossed 55 million devices. Yu Chengdong, Huawei’s Executive Director and Chairman of Consumer Business Group, has made this announcement and praised consumers.
In March, He Gang, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group, announced that HarmonyOS 5 and 6 have a combined installation of 50 million. That accounted for 150,000 device activations per day. In addition, the phone maker has increased the available applications and services to 350,000, and the number of registered developers has exceeded 10 million.

HarmonyOS 6 comes with new improvements to the user interface and brings performance improvements over HarmonyOS 5.
It’s the most refined HarmonyOS version release to date. The company has made some new changes to the kernel that have made it faster than HarmonyOS 5, including the improved Ark Engine. The UI integrates fluid animations, and it has even wider native apps from third-party developers.
With the most recent upgrades, Huawei has worked on the UI effects, such as bringing the lighting and glass-like UI elements. Users can select between these effects to get a different experience. That’s not it; the same experience has been applied to the animations to make them more interactive and intuitive.
It is increasing the monthly and quarterly feature rollout frequency. To be mentioned, these updates are distributed across all of the eligible phones in a fast manner.
The 55 million is a huge number, but the story doesn’t end here. Huawei has a plan to install HarmonyOS 6 in even more devices, which will increase the numbers even further.
