Huawei FreeClip 2 S AKB48 Limited Edition launching soon

Huawei has recently collaborated with Japan’s Ueni Trading to launch a new FreeClip 2 S AKB48 Limited Edition. Co-branded with GARRACK, the upcoming audio wearable will likely feature some significant design and internal changes.

FreeClip 2 S has debuted globally as the rebranded version of the FreeClip 2 Collector’s Edition. The device keeps the same dome-shaped look and color schemes as the Chinese sibling, with only a different name.

Now, Ueni Trading’s co-branded company – GARRACK, will soon launch a new Huawei FreeClip 2 S AKB48 Limited Edition earbuds in Japan. Details reveal that this audio wearable will have autographs of all AKB48 members on its body (case).

AKB48 is a massive J-pop girl group in Japan. The group performs almost every day at their home theater, where fans can see them live. Founded in 2005 by Yasushi Akimoto, AKB48 is one of Japan’s best-selling musical acts.

Input further mentions that the new audio wearable entered the pre-order stage on September 8 with a price tag of 33000 yen (including tax). At that time, it was available in gold and silver shades, where the former is said to be an exclusive color.

Note that the shipping time for each color variant could vary. For instance, the silver model ordered before September 15 could debut after this month. Meanwhile, orders made after September 30 can take two weeks to reach consumers.

Speaking of the gold FreeClip 2 S AKB48 variant, it will likely enter the sale phase by mid-December. Buyers will get a free accessory that you can attach to the new earbuds. AKB48 may also hold a concert to give a hands-on demo of these earphones.
