Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 unveiled with CD-level lossless sound quality

On September 25, 2023, Huawei unveiled FreeBuds Pro 3, as the industry’s first earbuds with 1.5Mbps lossless sound quality transmission and other new sound technologies. Let’s explore the new wireless wearable in detail.

Lossless sound quality:

The headset uses the core technology of StarLight connection. This combination improves the anti-interference ability of signal transmission by 2 times. It brings the 1.5 Mbps audio transmission, achieving super CD-level lossless sound quality and carefully restoring the true nature of music.

L2HC 3.0

Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 unveiled with Huawei’s self-developed L2HC 3.0, the LDAC dual high-definition audio decoding. It has obtained HWA and Hi-Res double gold label sound quality certification. This pair of earbuds has a super-sensory acoustic dual-unit, and the tweeter adopts a Halbach magnet array.

The unit’s transient performance can be freely retracted and the treble is clear. With the large-drive 11mm super-magnetic woofer, the bass is shocking and surging. Thanks to the new advanced digital crossover technology, each of the units performs its own task. The bass dives down to 14 Hz, and the treble reaches up to 48 kHz.

The computing power of Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 has been increased by 50%, and the listening optimization algorithm
has been upgraded. The EQ balance is accurately compensated for the full-frequency volume, ear structure, and wearing status based on the equal loudness curve of the human ear in real-time.

ANC 3.0

The new smart Dynamic Noise Cancellation 3.0 has an adaptive noise cancellation algorithm. In the background, the DNC 3.0 is using a three-microphone hybrid noise reduction system.

It can accurately identify and calculate the noise inside and outside the ear in real time. Afterward, the DNC 3.0 dynamically customizes the noise reduction effect according to local conditions.
