Huawei Enjoy Z 5G launched with Dimensity 800 SoC, 90Hz display and starts at ¥1699 ($238)



On May 24, Huawei launched its latest mid-range 5G smartphone – Huawei Enjoy Z in China. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 800 5G integrated SoC.

The phone features a 6.5-inch FullHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080) with dewdrop notch design. The display supports 90Hz refresh rate for smoother UI animation and 180Hz touch sampling rate for faster touch response.

Enjoy Z is the first smartphone from Huawei this year that features a MediaTek chipset instead of in-house Kirin. The new 7nm Dimensity 800 supports NSA/SA dual-mode 5G network architecture and six frequency bands for a faster 5G network speed.

On the back side, Huawei Enjoy Z 5G equips triple cameras including a 48MP main + an 8MP ultra-wide angle + a 2MP macro camera. It has a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies, supported by AI capabilities.

For long term use, it’s packed with a 4000mAh battery that charges with 22.5W super-fast charging. It’s worth noting that this new phone comes pre-installed EMUI 10.1 (Android 10), providing various new features.

Huawei Enjoy Z offers three new colors including Night Black, Deep Sea Blue, and Sakura Pink.

The first sale of this phone will start on June 1, 2020 in China. The phone could launch with a renamed version in the global market.
