Huawei reportedly shipped over 1.6 million Mate 60 Pro smartphones within 6 weeks of launch but an industry insider is saying that the company could sell even more devices in a short time if it ensures sufficient supplies for sales channels.

According to Counterpoint Research, Huawei sold 1.6 million smartphone units since its launch on August 29.

Some of the Chinese sales channels have also verified these numbers calling them ‘accurate’. One of them said that these sales figures are surprising. However, it is mentioned that many sales channels are running out of stock for the Huawei Mate 60 Pro. If Huawei could ensure sufficient supplies of this new Mate 60 Pro, the company could sell even more than 1.6 million units.

From what we can see, the active demand for Mate 60 Pro is running wild among Chinese customers. But the biggest hurdle in the way comes in the form of pushing new units in the market. People report on Weibo, China’s social media site, that it is hard to catch a phone unit. Also, purchased units are showing being delayed.

Competition with Apple:

The sales of Huawei’s latest phone could be an alarming situation for all of its competitors including Apple. Another report from Counterpoint Research shows that the new iPhone 15 sales are showing signs of decline by 4.5% as compared to the last generation in China.

Some of the sellers in China believe that the Huawei Mate 60 series and Mate X5 smartphones are creating an impact on iPhone 15 sales.
