Huawei appointed former Brazilian president to promote 5G wireless network in Brazil

Previously, it was reported that Brazil’s 5G spectrum auction scheduled for March 2020 but due to pandemic it is postponed. Now, according to the new schedule, it will happen in June 2021.

Huawei is leading in the global 5G ranking and comes under a few companies, which are able to provide 5G wireless technology. However, Huawei has blacklisted in some countries including UK, Sweden, and more to provide the 5G network.

According to the latest news, Huawei has appointed the Brazillian former President Michel Temer as a consultant to make sure its participation in the Brazil 5G wireless network spectrum. Temer is a professor and lawyer of Brazilian Constitutional Law, and he will provide legal advice on Huawei’s development of the 5G business in Brazil.

Last month, a source said that the Brazilian government is looking for a legal way to exclude Huawei from Brazil’s 5G network construction. But in the middle of this month, the Brazilian government’s attitude towards Huawei changed. Now, the Brazilian government would not try to ban Huawei from participating in the 5G spectrum auction.

Moreover, Huawei still faces challenges to defend its position in the market. Although Huawei is excluded from 5G networks in some countries, but it has also been welcomed by many countries, including Malaysia, Russia, the Philippines, and Cambodia.
