Huawei appears in top 5 2023 Global smart band makers list: Canalys

A new report from market research firm – Canalys shows that Huawei has made its way into the top 5 2023 Global smart band makers list. The report also predicted the growth aspects of the wearable band market sales for the upcoming years.

Report shows that Huawei has achieved third place in the 2023 global smart band market. Canalys believes that the tech giant obtained the top position due to enhancements in the design and material quality of its latest smart band products.

Further inputs depict that Chinese smart band vendors like Huawei now started featuring more pre-install apps in their wearables for an effective useful experience.

Huawei has gained a 9% market share in the 2023 global smart band list which has ultimately resulted in 13% of its annual growth. While the first place has been taken by Apple with 19% market share. Yet, its annual performance has declined to 14%.

Xiaomi is standing at the second spot with 11% of market share and 21% of yearly growth. Fire Boltt and Noise attain fourth and fifth positions respectively. The former has seen a growth of 79% – the highest among all the tech vendors while the latter has gained 40%.

It is worth noting that Chinese smart band makers’ entry into global markets has started creating pressure on tech firms like Samsung and Google. Huawei, Xiaomi, and OnePlus are opting for new technologies that can raise the bar of innovation.

AI-driven features, precise health monitoring capabilities, and more new options for workouts make the Chinese smart band products alluring to consumers.

Prediction for 2025!

The overall shipment growth of the worldwide smart band market is 1.4% with 18.5 billion units. Canalys mentions that with constant efforts for innovative smart bands, these companies may raise the total shipment of wearable band devices by 217 million units in 2025 resulting in a huge growth.
