Today, Honor Play 40 is officially unveiled on the Honor website. The company has listed this phone under the budget segment with good specs. Aside from listing, Honor has planned to introduce it later this month.

Honor Play 40 is using a 6.56-inch of LCD screen, with 16.7 million colors. It has a 20:15:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution for better visuals. The screen features multi-touch support of up to 10 touches. Meanwhile, you will get up to a 90Hz refresh rate.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 plus processor, which uses 8nm process technology. The CPU architecture is two A76 (2.2GHz) + six A55 (1.8GHz), and the GPU is Adreno 619. The phone comes in three memory versions 6+128GB, 8+128GB, and 8+256 GB.

Honor Play 40 offers a dual-ring camera bump on the back, which uses a unique design. There are dual rear cameras – 13MP main camera (f/1.8 aperture) + 2MP depth of field (f/2.4 aperture). On the front side, you will get a 5MP selfie camera.

The Play 40 retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and supports side fingerprint recognition. It also passed dual Hi-Res certification.

This phone runs MagicOS 7.1 (Android 13) out of the box with gestures navigation and floating navigation features. As well as other special functionalities including face Unlock, payment protection center, and one-handed mode. The list also includes:

Currently, Honor has not announced the specific price of the new phone. However, it is expected to be priced at 1000 yuan based on similar hardware specs devices.
