Honor Magic 5 series gets set of new optimizations with July 2023 update

Honor has released a July 2023 software update for Honor Magic 5 series and it comes with a set of new optimizations and system features as well as the recent rollout of the control panel.

According to the changelog, the July 2023 update for the Honor Magic 5 series comes with MagicOS version 7.1.0.157 and was released for Magic 5, Magic 5 Pro, and Magic 5 Ultimate Edition. However, the users will first have to download the following versions.

• Honor Magic 5 Pro: 7.1.0.109(SP1)/111(SP5)/119/119(SP6)/119(SP7)/124(SP1)/129(SP1)/134/134(SP5)/138(SP2)/153
• Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition: 7.1.0.109(SP1)/111(SP5)/119/119(SP6)/119(SP7)/124(SP1)/129(SP1)/134(SP5)/138(SP2)/153

Home Screen:

• Optimize the smart multi-window function, draw out the sidebar, and click the “More” icon to quickly launch applications that support smart multi-window. The horizontal screen floating window supports more application display.

Application avatar:

• More apps support the App Clone function, experience path: “Settings -> Apps -> App Clone”.

Game Assistant:

• Reduce the false touch of the game assistant application and improve the game experience.

Camera:

• Optimize the photo effect of some scenes.

Status Bar:

• Optimize the display effect of some scenes in the control center.

Safety:

• Combined with the Android July 2023 security patch to enhance system security.

This update will not delete your user data, However, it is still recommended that you back up your data before updating. Also, make sure you download the required software to grab the new one.
