In the past few days, Huawei has sent back to back software updates for EMUI 10 beta testers, recruited throughout the month, to get the latest features and improvements.

Honor 9X devices are also selected for new features recruitment and the company has just begun sending the first software update to Honor 9X and 9X Pro.

By looking at the changelog, the features found in this new update are almost similar to the set of features rolled out for Huawei Mate 30 and P30 series smartphones.

VERSIONS:

This new EMUI 10 beta update for Honor 9X and 9X Pro comes with version 10.0.1.171.

What’s New?

Voice Clock:

Use the voice assistant to quickly create, manage alarms or delay alarm.

Flashlight:

Added flashlight notification on the lock screen to remind you if the flashlight is on.

Gallery:

Optimize the hierarchical management of picture editing options, display richer editing menus in one screen, and make picture editing more efficient.

Emergency help:

After enabling the switch (Settings> Security> SOS emergency help), press the power button five times in any case to enter the SOS emergency help interface.

With this new feature, you can dial the emergency contact number and send a help message at the same time.

Next update:

We expect that Huawei will continue to send new beta updates for the Honor 9X series until the beta program closes.
