Honor 9N gets May EMUI security update

Honor 9N is a device that still runs EMUI 9.1 (Android 9) but in recent months, the phone has received a new feature called Wi-Fi calling. Now the phone is getting a new update.

According to a Honor Club user, Honor 9N is receiving a new update in India that improves system security released in May 2020. However, there are no additional changes noted.

The May 2020 update installs security patches from Google fixing different levels of exploits and issues including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.

EMUI VERSION:

Honor 9N receiving May 2020 security update with EMUI version 9.1.0.146 with a size of 203MB.

HOW TO UPDATE HONOR 9N:

Via Settings:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click on System
  3. Click on Software update
  4. Click on CHECK FOR UPDATES
  5. Click on Download and install

Via HiCare:

  1. Open HiCare app
  2. Click on Services tab
  3. Click on Update
  4. Click on CHECK FOR UPDATES
  5. Click on Download and install
