In the past, we’ve seen a number of new leaks and renders of the Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro that showed us its exterior design changes. Now, a well-known tipster from Weibo has some new information about the Huawei Mate 40 series.

The tipster first compared the Mate 40 series display protector with last year’s Huawei Mate 30 series and found the following differences.

  • Huawei Mate 40 screen protector is 70mm wide and 153mm tall, while the Mate 30 has 76.1mm width and 160.8mm height.
  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro protector is 75mm wide and 157mm long, while the Mate 30 Pro has 73.1mm and 158.1mm height.

Both Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro come with the curved display but the Mate 40 Pro is bigger than the Mate 40 and similar to the Mate 30 Pro. Moreover, the curves of Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ will be bigger than the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro.

Following this topic, the tipster also revealed that Huawei Mate 40 Pro will come with a pill-type punch-hole display with a waterfall curved, similar to the Mate 30 Pro. The phone has a volume rocker and a power key in red color, as well as symmetrical dual speakers.

According to previous reports, Huawei Mate 40 will feature a 6.5-inch OLED, and Mate 40 Pro will sport a 6.78-inch waterfall OLED display. Huawei Mate 40 series will be powered by 5nm Kirin 9000 processor, pre-equipped with EMUI 11, and could launch in October this year.
