HarmonyOS for smartphone is coming, as Huawei opens early access registrations

Huawei is all set to announce the HarmonyOS 2.0 for general smartphones on June 2 at HarmonyOS Operating System and All Scenario Product Launch Online Conference.

According to the previous information, the company will push HarmonyOS 2.0 stable version for 11 models in the first batch. Simultaneously, the company will also announce the HarmonyOS adaption roadmap for other old Huawei and Honor devices.

Adding to this, Huawei has now silently opened the early adopter registration section for HarmonyOS 2.0 through the My Huawei app.

Once you open this section, the announcement page appears in front of users, which shows details of the HarmonyOS 2.0 event and upgrade early adopters registration option.

Huawei smartphone users can verify whether their models are eligible to upgrade over HarmonyOS in the first batch or not by accessing the early adopter section. Still, the registration process is only for the Chinese models at the moment but more information for global models likely to share at the June 2 event.

Steps for Early Adopter Registration:

  • Open My Huawei app
  • Click on Updates
  • Tap Upgrade early adopter
